A noble, powerful Italian guardian — protective, intelligent, and deeply bonded. The complete illustrated breed guide: standard, every life-stage and color, movement, and working character.

Illustrated standard
The head is everything
The Corso is defined by its head: a large, square molosser skull; a broad, deep, blunt muzzle (one-third the length of the head) with slightly convergent planes; complete black pigment; and an intense, alert expression. Substantial and powerful — sound and athletic, never coarse.

Working character
Bred to guard. Trained to protect.
A guardian to the core — confident, discerning, and devoted. Protection sport is the breed's proving ground; steadiness with family is its heart.
